Dosa Podi/Idli Podi
One of the item in our backpack. This coarse powder varies from county to county with black lentil as the main ingredient. Amma made this for the first fly and then she gave this thir-moorthy recipe. It served us a lot when we ran out of side dish for dosas and idilis. Try this bachelor recipe.


Ingredients:
Black gram – 100 gm
Red chillies – 4 nos
Salt – for taste


Method:

Shallow fry black gram with red chillies on medium flame. Switch off the flame when dal turns golden brown. Allow it to cool and grind it. Add salt to taste. Store in air tight container. Add oil at the time of serving it with dosas and idilis.
