Cabbage Stir Fry / Mizhukku puratti
Cabbage mizhukku puratti a simple and easy cook
recipe without masalas and goes well with sambar and rice.
Ingredients:
Cabbage – chopped 1 cup
Onion – 1, small size, chopped
Green chillies – 2, medium size, sliced length
wise
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Pepper – 1 tsp
Salt for taste
Coconut oil – as required
Curry leaves – a sprig
Method:
Heat oil in a wok / cheenachutty – add chopped
onion, fry till it turns light brown.
Add chopped cabbage, green chillies,
sprinkle salt water and allow to cook for few minutes on low flame. It may take
time but wait or else cabbage will get burnt & will spoil the taste. Once its
half cooked add turmeric powder and mix well. Add pepper powder, curry leaves
and switch off the flame.
Note: Cabbage gets mushy if it’s cooked well
with water so don’t add water.
