Chapati (wheat and ragi) with potato fry
Ingredients:
Chapati:
Wheat powder and Ragi - 10:2 ratio
Powdered cumin - 1 tb sp
Potato fry:
Potatoes – 3, Medium size, washed, peeled and cubed
Onion – 3, Large, washed and sliced
Green chilies – 2, slit length wise
Garlic - 4-5 nos
Turmeric- 1 tsp
Pepper - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tbsps
Coriander leaves – 1 sprig
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Method:
Heat oil in a thick bottomed vessel
/cheenachutty/ frying pan, once the oil turns hot, reduce flame, add sliced
onion, garlic and sauté for few mins, so that onion turns light brown. Add the
green chillies, diced potatoes and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes, tossing
the potatoes frequently.
Reduce flame, add turmeric powder, pepper and
salt to taste and mix well. Sprinkle curry leaves and coriander leaves on top
and serve hot.
