Dosa
with chutney: kids special
Usually chutney is
common in our cuisine and my MIL’s all time option (pity on you FIL) but this
one specially made for achu since he often has his tummy sickness with spices.
Ingredients:
Coconut grated – 1 cup
Green chilli – 1 small size
Small onion – 3 nos
Ginger – 1 tsp
Yoghurt – 1tbsp (optional)
Salt – to taste
Coriander leaves – a sprig
Curry leaves – a sprig
To
temper
Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard – 1tsp
Red chilli – 1 (optional)
Method:
Grind grated coconut, ginger, green chilli and
small onions in a mixer to form a thick paste. Heat oil in a pan/cheenachutty –
add mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Sprinkle curry leaves on it. Reduce the
flame and mix the grinded paste into it. Add salt for taste. Cook for few
minutes to heat the paste. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with dosa or
idilli.
Note: Add yoghurt after chutney gets cooled
down. This will reduce spicy level in chutney.
